Landscape Painting
Another genre of painting is the landscape. This genre of painting deals especially with our environment and our natural surroundings. The artist may even try to be very vivid with his farm painting that he may even put a huge crap of the cow or the pellet sized craps of the goats. But obviously he won’t do that because it will make the picture stink.

Landscape painting is so inspiring and breathe taking that lots of artist have been painting landscape. Problem is because of that reason the landscape genre has become overcrowded, uninspired, and derivative to name a few. These three are not the main problems; the main problem for landscape artists is that they lack vision. The only vision they se is to sit there and paint the farm or the forest. They do not try to see outside the picture.
Because lots of people have been creating landscape paintings, some galleries will seem to question the vision. They would want the artist to be more original in how he presents his landscape painting. The important thing to consider making your landscape more distinct is the aesthetics. Try to base your painting on previous works and draw inspiration from it. Do not simply sit and stare at the forest and paint it. Try to put some originality in it by adding what you think and feel about it.
Here are some approaches that you might try to consider when painting landscapes.
Amateur Approach:
• This approach is the direct approach when painting landscapes. This approach is the most popular one today because it excludes other oil painting techniques.
• Even though it says amateur approach doesn’t necessarily men it’s easy to do. In fact it’s quite difficult that you still need to get a short course or a how to book especially if you’re not really gifted in the arts.
• Gradually your skills will expand and will include the personality that commercial galleries look for.
Professional Approach:
• These are the guys who claim to be professional because they have degrees in art majors.
• They are trained and taught by their manuals to inhibit their personal expressions into their paintings.
• They are trained to appreciate painterly concerns more such as color harmony, tonal balance, emotive expressions, etc.
• They get their inspiration and ideas by touring galleries and then instilling what they have learned
Direct painting Approach:
• Lots of thought and planning is done before he makes his landscape to make sure it is successful.
• The artist first step is that he or she sketches for composition, the balance of shapes and points of interest tat are both negative and negative.
• Then he makes a tonal sketch where the painting is represented in three tones, light, intermediate and dark.
• The tonal sketch will then be covered by paint.
• Establish color harmony by doing a color sketch first or lay the main colors on the palette first.
Maybe by being able to choose among the three approaches of painting a landscape you can be able to create your new style and have your identity in the art. If you’re lucky having a very distinguished landscape painting may even give you some notice as a young upstart artist.
